This funding opportunity supports organisations delivering programs that help Victorian startup founders develop AI and DeepTech ideas into successful ventures.
The focus areas of this opportunity include Encourage the creation of AI and DeepTech startups, by helping entrepreneurs bring their ideas to life and create an MVP, Increase the pipeline of quality startups entering accelerator programs in Victoria, and Support startups to be successful beyond the program by providing guidance, resources, networks, and planning to help them scale.
This initiative offers funding for both existing and new organisations to run pre-accelerator programs designed specifically for startups. Applicants are required to demonstrate a strong understanding of startup creation along with proven experience in growing startups and fostering startup communities. They must also show how they provide AI and/or DeepTech expertise and how their program will effectively support founders during and after the program.
Applications of up to $400,000 (plus GST) are eligible, covering a maximum duration of two years, with the grant timeline concluding in April 2028. The program aims to strengthen Victoria’s innovation ecosystem by equipping early-stage founders with skills, resources, networks, and guidance essential for scaling their ventures.
Eligibility requires that the proposed program primarily supports Victorian startup entrepreneurs over the age of 18, noting that the grant does not provide direct funding to individual startups or entrepreneurs. Applicants must have a delivery team with demonstrated experience in supporting early-stage technology startups, showing a track record in running pre-accelerator or other startup support programs.
