The Ministry of Culture (MOC) is seeking applications for grant and/or sponsorship for actions and programs for Cultural Actions and Programs for Children and Adolescents (up to 18 years old).
The relevance of the proposal to the priorities of the Ministry of Culture, the coherence of the proposal with the theme of the Invitation, its content and its artistic excellence, the adequate development of the proposal, the comprehensive and documented planning and the realistic time planning, realistic budget and adequate documentation and analysis of financial data, collaboration with professionals in the field during the design and implementation of the proposal, the overall cultural and artistic activity of the organization/group in the field of contemporary culture, the culture of collaborations it has developed and its participation in important events in Greece and abroad (e.g. festivals, programs, collaborations, etc.), securing any other sources of funding for the implementation of the proposal (private, national, European sources/programs, alternative forms of funding, etc.), familiarizing children and adolescents with contemporary artistic creation and strengthening their creativity and imagination, supporting creators/organizations/groups that are systematically involved in the production of cultural activities aimed at children and adolescents, supporting integrated and innovative creative actions, of a social and educational nature.
That aim to broaden and develop the artistic skills of children and adolescents and encourage their active participation in art and culture, the contact of children and adolescents with cultural diversity in art, raising awareness for the protection of children and adolescents through the highlighting of issues related to social phenomena such as: school bullying, domestic violence, sexual abuse, xenophobia, racism, etc., supporting actions with specialized personnel who have the relevant experience in actions with children, the support and development of contemporary artistic creation and production, the emergence of new and original/innovative ideas of artistic expression and cultural action, supporting the work of young artists and fostering new artistic movements, the development of the public and the diffusion of cultural goods among citizens.
The strengthening of cross-sectoral/cross-artistic actions in Contemporary Culture and the encouragement of creative synergies in Greece and internationally, strengthening the cultural and creative economy as a pillar of social and economic development and the creation of new jobs, the development of actions in the Region with the aim of supporting and utilizing the human resources of each region and contributing to the economic revitalization of local communities, the promotion of equality in access, participation and familiarity with contemporary cultural events, with emphasis on young people, vulnerable and vulnerable social groups, as well as special audiences, strengthening social cohesion and contributing to the acceptance of diversity, strengthening knowledge for an even more sustainable environment, through socially responsible actions, promoting digital transformation and digital innovation in the field of culture, strengthening the prestige and reputation of Greek contemporary artistic creation abroad and the emergence of Greece as a strong and recognizable pole of development of Contemporary Culture.
This call provides funding for cultural actions that promote the development of children and adolescents’ skills through direct and active participation in art and culture. The participation in cultural, artistic and educational programs supports learning, enhances socialization and improves social and emotional development. Programs must ensure the involvement of qualified professionals with relevant experience while maintaining artistic excellence, feasibility and strong planning.
The funding applies to two program streams: Creative Greece – Grants for Contemporary Culture 2026 and Modern Cultural Heritage, while the program “All of Greece One Culture” is excluded. Proposals are expected to clearly align with contemporary cultural production and demonstrate innovative, original and socially relevant artistic expression. Organizations applying should also highlight their past artistic activities, collaborations and participation in national or international cultural events.
The program aims to strengthen equal access to culture for young people, promote creative synergies, support young artists, expand cultural audiences and enhance the visibility of contemporary Greek artistic creation internationally. It also encourages actions that contribute to social cohesion, acceptance of diversity and long-term sustainable cultural development.
