The third stage of the grant competition under the “FORCESS” project, implemented by NGO UkrProstir with technical support from UN Women in Ukraine and funding from the UN Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF), is now open.
The grant competition for the “FORCE” project is held in two areas: financing women’s education; financing women’s business start-up and development. Training grants are provided for: learning a new profession; improving skills in a current profession. The project provides for short-term (to be completed by December 25), practical training, with the mandatory receipt of a certificate. Business grants are provided for: starting, resuming, expanding a business. The project provides for the purchase of equipment necessary for the business. The “FORCESS” project also plans to provide mentoring support to grantees who have decided to start their own business, namely: support in promoting on social networks; when registering an individual entrepreneur; when preparing reports to the tax service and when paying taxes, etc.
The program provides an average grant of 62,500 hryvnias, although the amount may be adjusted depending on the budget of each application. Alongside financial support, beneficiaries will also receive mentorship and practical assistance in business promotion, registration, and reporting.
Eligible participants for this stage are women with IDP status residing in the Ukrainian-controlled territories of Zaporizhia region.
The FORSAGE (Financial and Organizational Capacity Building of Active Women) initiative under which the project is carried out is a flexible and operational funding instrument designed to support local women’s capacity to prevent conflicts, respond to crises, and seize peacebuilding opportunities.
