The Dutch Film Fund is inviting grant applications to support Dutch co-producers in advancing innovative international film projects that have already received Hubert Bals Fund support and come from countries with limited or restrictive film infrastructure.
The NFF–HBF scheme provides Dutch co-producers with an opportunity to receive production support for innovative film projects originating from countries with limited or restrictive film infrastructure, provided they have previously received HBF support for script and project development.
The scheme focuses on supporting Dutch co-producers working on projects that have already received development funding from the Hubert Bals Fund. Grants are available up to a maximum of €75,000, while the total production budget of the film must not exceed €1,200,000. Overhead and producer fees together may not exceed 10% of the grant, ensuring that the funding is primarily used for production.
Applications must be submitted by the Dutch co-producer, who is part of a production company that is a legal entity (not a one-man business or general partnership) and has been based in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, a member state of the EU, the EEA, or Switzerland for at least two years. Eligible companies must produce and exploit films and other audiovisual productions on a continuous basis.
This scheme is designed to enable co-producers to bring innovative international film projects to production, leveraging previous development support to enhance the quality, visibility, and reach of the final film while encouraging collaboration with filmmakers from regions with limited film infrastructure.
