Deadline: September 30, 2025
Giving Joy has opened its September 2025 Grant Round for women applicants from Asia, Oceania, and the Caribbean, with applications accepted between September 1–30, 2025.
The focus of the Giving Joy grants is on innovative, creative ideas with strong potential for social impact. Proposed grant activities must have an economic and social benefit to communities and must go beyond financial aspects of a business. Activities must focus on women, girls, and families and must be legal. Applications are scored on their degree of alignment with Giving Joy’s mission, the innovativeness and creativity of activities, economic and social impact, effective use of funds, and clearly measurable impact.
The grants are open to women aged 18 and above, and applicants do not need to own a business to apply. Grants may be used to start or expand a business, nonprofit, NGO, or charity, or to implement a specific project or activity. Only online applications are accepted, and applicants must ensure all fields of the application form are completed. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Applications are accepted in any language that can be translated with Google Translate.
Awards are determined after a multi-step review and scoring process, with shortlisted applicants evaluated by Giving Joy board members. Between five and ten grants are awarded per cycle, each up to $500 USD, with a six-month implementation period. Applicants may only apply once per cycle, and previous winners cannot apply again.
Women from a wide list of countries in Asia, Oceania, and the Caribbean are eligible in this round, including India. Applications submitted outside the specified regional window will not be reviewed. Successful applicants will be notified individually by email, while unsuccessful applicants will not receive further notice.
