The Ukrainian Cultural Foundation is requesting grant applications to support the creation, development, and international promotion of high-quality Ukrainian audiovisual content to strengthen national identity, enhance cultural presence, and counter misinformation.
The focus areas include creating sustainable cultural infrastructure, strengthening national identity, increasing information security, developing the creative economy, producing competitive Ukrainian content, addressing historical and contemporary topics, countering cultural stereotypes and disinformation, introducing experimental formats and new genres, integrating advanced technologies in film production, promoting Ukrainian content internationally, popularizing key ideas and values, refuting disinformation, demonstrating resilience through audiovisual products, and reinforcing Ukraine’s cultural identity.
LOT 1 aims to build sustainable cultural infrastructure, strengthen national identity, increase information security, and develop the creative economy by supporting content that meets high artistic and technical standards while enhancing Ukraine’s presence in the global cultural space. The total budget for LOT 1 is UAH 40 million, with grants ranging from UAH 500,000 to UAH 3 million.
LOT 2 focuses on stimulating the development of competitive Ukrainian content that highlights relevant topics and counters disinformation. It encourages innovative and high-quality productions, the introduction of experimental formats, new genres, and the use of advanced technologies in film production. The total budget is UAH 15 million, with grants ranging from UAH 300,000 to UAH 1 million.
LOT 3 is designed to promote Ukrainian content on the international stage, popularize key ideas and values, and refute disinformation. It emphasizes the importance of audiovisual products in demonstrating resilience, transforming global perception of Ukrainian society, and highlighting cultural identity. The total budget is UAH 15 million, with grants ranging from UAH 300,000 to UAH 1 million.
Eligible applicants vary by LOT. For LOT 1, applicants may be legal entities or individual entrepreneurs registered in Ukraine for at least one year with relevant experience in culture. For LOT 2, applicants must be legal entities or individual entrepreneurs registered in Ukraine for at least one year with experience in film production. For LOT 3, applicants must be legal entities or individual entrepreneurs registered in Ukraine for at least two years with experience in film production, as recorded in the State Register of Film Producers, Distributors, and Demonstrators.
