Deadline: September 30, 2025
PTI Australia is pleased to launch the 2025 Freight Assistance Package, designed to assist Pacific businesses looking to manage freight costs and maintain access to key markets.
The Freight Assistance Package 2025, provided by Pacific Trade Invest (PTI) Australia, offers targeted financial support to exporters from Pacific Islands to help manage freight costs and maintain access to key markets.
The focus areas of this package include assisting businesses with freight expenses incurred in the 12 months prior to application, supporting both exporters registered in Pacific Islands countries and Australian-based importers of Pacific products. The program emphasizes eligibility criteria such as business registration in a Pacific Islands country, a minimum of one-year operation, confirmed buyers or eCommerce sales, and the ability to provide documentary proof of paid freight costs.
Successful applicants can receive grant funding up to A$2,500, with the program covering 50% of freight costs below A$5,000 and the full grant for expenses above that threshold. The selection process involves assessment by a PTI panel, and grantees are required to report on export revenue, job creation, and investment outcomes during and after the program. Applicants must also commit to maintaining communication with PTI representatives for data reporting purposes.
Applications close on 30 September 2025 (AEST). The program prioritizes enabling enterprises from eligible Pacific Islands nations, including Cook Islands, Fiji, French Polynesia, Papua New Guinea, and others, to access international markets and grow sustainably.
