Deadline: November 03, 2025
The FABRIX project invites organisations from Athens and Rotterdam to apply for its Second Call, supporting sustainable urban manufacturing through circular economy, industrial symbiosis, and digital innovation.
The focus of the call is on SMEs, micro-businesses, and independents (e.g., artisans, producer-designers) or related businesses operating in the Textile and Clothing sector, or in fields that could be perceived as complementary to this sector in terms of circular economy and industrial symbiosis (e.g., any manufacturer, producer or service that could benefit from working with the T&C industry in particular with regards to waste re-use).
The Second Call offers selected organisations financial support of €5,000 to conduct user testing and provide ideas on improving the FABRIX platform, as well as access to local experts, learning resources, and opportunities to develop synergies with network members. Winners will also attend at least one in-person event organised by local facilitators in Athens or Rotterdam.
Eligibility requires applicants to be legally established in Greece or the Netherlands, conduct main business activities in Athens or Rotterdam, and be registered on the FABRIX platform. Applications must include the completed form, Declaration of Honour, and Financial declaration forms, and must be submitted in English before the deadline of 3 November 2025.
Evaluation will take place in three stages: eligibility check, quality assessment, and final selection. Proposals will be judged on production facilities and value chain, knowledge and experience, future vision and action plan, and intended use of the platform. A minimum of 12 out of 20 points is required to pass, with three reserved spots per city for independents such as upcyclers, sewists, textile designers, and similar professionals.
Successful applicants will enter into a subcontract with the FABRIX Lead Partner and receive payments in two instalments, subject to reporting obligations. All intellectual property generated will be open access under a CC BY-SA license, and subcontractors must follow FABRIX communication guidelines.
