The Events Tasmania Marketing Grant Program 2025-26 provides financial support to event organisers in Tasmania to increase visitation to their events.
The program’s focus areas include supporting marketing initiatives that promote and attract audiences to events held in Tasmania between 1 July 2025 and 30 June 2026, providing grants for both large and small events, enhancing existing marketing strategies for established Tasmanian events, and targeting either intrastate or interstate audiences.
With a total budget of $280,000 allocated for 2025-26, the grant offers funding in two tiers. Tier 1 grants, ranging from $2,500 to $5,000, are designed for events primarily targeting intrastate visitors from within Tasmania. Tier 2 grants, ranging from $5,001 to $10,000, are aimed at attracting interstate visitors from outside Tasmania. Applicants must demonstrate an understanding of their target audience, provide a detailed marketing plan, and submit both an expenses budget for marketing activities and an overall event income and expenditure budget.
Eligible applicants must be registered for tax purposes in Australia with a continuously active ABN as of 30 June 2024, be event organisers delivering events in Tasmania between 1 July 2025 and 30 June 2026, and the events must have been held previously. Applications must be submitted at least six weeks prior to the event commencement. Grants are available until the allocated funding is fully distributed or the program closes.
