Deadline Date: March 20, 2026
Through the Enterprise & Supplier Development Applications, eligible black-owned ICT SMEs can access essential resources and partnerships designed to strengthen their growth and competitiveness in the South African economy.
Entrepreneurship is a key driver of South Africa’s economic growth, with entrepreneurs playing a vital role in job creation, meeting business and consumer needs, and improving the lives of fellow South Africans.
The focus of this Enterprise and Supplier Development program is to support black-owned and black women-owned small and medium enterprises (SMEs) within the ICT sector by providing long-term engagement and partnerships that enhance financial and operational independence through ICT infrastructure, skills development, training interventions, or funding.
This program is designed to assist black-owned and black women-owned SMEs in the ICT sector to grow and become sustainable and self-sufficient. It supports businesses that have been operating for at least two years and are established entities, not start-ups. The initiative provides resources such as ICT infrastructure, training, skills development, and funding to help businesses build capacity and strengthen their operational systems. The goal is to create a stable foundation for growth and to encourage long-term development through meaningful partnerships.
Eligible businesses must be small enterprises operating within the ICT sector and must be either an EME or QSE with at least 51% black ownership, registered as a PTY or CC. They must possess a valid B-BBEE certificate or an ICT affidavit, and have an annual financial report to demonstrate their financial status. This ensures that support is directed to qualifying enterprises that meet the required compliance and ownership standards.
The program specifically excludes schools, universities, NPOs, NGOs, and NPCs from eligibility. This ensures that the focus remains on supporting private, black-owned ICT SMEs that can benefit from the development interventions and funding provided through the program.
