The Cybersecurity Industry Call for Innovation (CyberCall), supported by the Cybersecurity Development Fund (CCDF), enables companies to innovate on cybersecurity challenges put out by Critical Information Infrastructure and strategic stakeholders in Singapore.
Catalyse the development of innovative cybersecurity solutions to meet national cybersecurity and strategic needs; Develop a vibrant local cybersecurity ecosystem through the building of advanced cybersecurity capabilities, as well as growing the pipeline of local talent; Identify and articulate mid to long term cybersecurity challenges to encourage the trial and adoption of novel solutions. The objective of the CCDF is to foster the development of advanced solutions, technologies, and approaches that enhance cybersecurity measures. CCDF aims to tackle emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and challenges in the digital landscape by promoting creativity and ingenuity in the field of cybersecurity.
By driving innovation, the industry aims to proactively address cyber threats, safeguard sensitive information, and ensure the privacy and safety of individuals, organizations, and critical infrastructures. CCDF also aims to contribute to industry growth by encouraging research and development, addressing emerging threats, promoting collaboration, enhancing competitiveness, and meeting evolving customer needs. Cybersecurity for Artificial intelligence (AI); Artificial intelligence (AI) for Cybersecurity; Quantum Safe; Operational Technology (OT) / Internet of Things (IoT) Security; Cloud Security; Privacy-Enhancing Technologies (PET).
The call welcomes solutions aimed at strengthening cybersecurity within rapidly evolving digital ecosystems. Applicants are encouraged to propose transformative technologies that support national cybersecurity needs through enhanced defence strategies and advanced solution development. The initiative supports innovation that empowers organizations to protect digital assets and infrastructure while ensuring resilience against sophisticated cyber threats.
Each project funded under the CCDF can receive up to S$1,000,000 for a duration of up to 24 months, covering expenditure associated with manpower, equipment, software, and relevant professional services for product or solution development. Funding awarded must be utilized for development activities within Singapore, and recipient companies must register, own, and manage all intellectual property rights arising from the project domestically. Proposals already funded by other government agencies will not be considered.
The opportunity is open to all companies registered in Singapore. Overseas companies must collaborate with a Singapore‐registered partner holding the project’s foreground intellectual property. At least 50% of the funded workforce must consist of Singapore residents or Permanent Residents working physically in the country. Applicants submitting under the Open Category must secure a committed cybersecurity end-user by the third milestone, and all integration-only or retrospective applications are not supported.
