The COP-PILOT Horizon 1st Open Call invites innovative actors to develop and test solutions on a collaborative platform addressing real-world challenges across multiple sectors.
The primary objectives of COP-PILOT include developing an open multi-layer orchestration platform to manage collaborative applications across heterogeneous domains using the IoT-to-edge-to-core computing continuum, creating AI-based service onboarding extensions that simplify large-scale service integration with automatic SLA compliance, and providing an auto-pilot tool for infrastructure owners to securely register domain clusters, automate expansion, and manage access using standardized TMF data models and APIs.
COP-PILOT serves four piloting clusters: Mining in Sweden focusing on real-time operations and predictive analytics, Smart Cities & Buildings in Valencia, Spain for urban IoT management, Energy in Preveza, Greece leveraging edge intelligence for grid reliability, Agriculture in Central Macedonia, Greece with precision farming and supply chain solutions, and Smart Vineyards across multiple sites enabling multi-domain IoT ecosystems.
Selected projects will receive financial support of up to €200,000 covering 100% of eligible costs with no co-financing required, eight months of dedicated mentoring and technical platform training, and the opportunity to integrate their solutions into a major Horizon Europe initiative.
Eligible applicants include SMEs or SME-led consortia with at least two partners, with leading partners required to be SMEs, while other partners can include large enterprises, research institutions, universities, non-profit organizations, and public entities where permitted. Applicants must be registered in an EU Member State or Horizon Europe Associated Country, not bankrupt or under insolvency proceedings, and compliant with tax and social security obligations.
