Deadline Date: April 30, 2026
The Business to Business (B2B) Grant Program is designed to support local small businesses in the City of Whittlesea by encouraging the procurement of local products and services from approved vendors to strengthen B2B relationships and economic activity.
The focus areas and objectives of the B2B Grant Program include building membership of the City of Whittlesea Business Network (WBN), strengthening local supply chains, generating community wealth and long-term sustainability, supporting diverse business activities, and promoting activation in activity centres and commercial precincts. The program aims to grow the presence and resilience of local businesses while contributing toward a prosperous and inclusive local economy.
The B2B Grant Program offers financial support of up to $10,000 per individual application through two funding streams: Stream 1 – Business Improvement and Innovation, and Stream 2 – Elevating Your Business. Funding must be matched dollar-for-dollar by the business and is paid only after project completion and demonstration of the matching contribution. The grant is awarded through a competitive merit-based selection process, with final approval at the discretion of the Council’s Grant Steering Committee.
Eligible applicants must be registered members of the City of Whittlesea Business Network and may submit one application per round. Businesses must be the owner or tenant named on a current or pending lease agreement, hold an active Australian Business Number (ABN), provide evidence of insurance, demonstrate financial viability, and comply with additional requirements such as quotes for products or services exceeding specified amounts. Stream 2 applicants must have five or fewer full-time equivalent employees. Preference is given to quotes obtained from WBN members.
Applications are submitted online through SmartyGrants, with an email address required as the main form of communication for grant details, conditions, variations, and acquittals. Applicants are encouraged to ensure that all supporting documents are complete and accurate to facilitate a smooth evaluation process.
