Deadline: December 03, 2025
The Creative Europe Programme (CREA) invites audiovisual producers to develop and produce strong TV and online fiction projects aimed at wide distribution across Europe and beyond.
The focus of this call is to increase the capacity of audiovisual producers with projects that emphasize cooperation between operators from different MEDIA Strand countries, innovative content and financing, and strategies aligned with effective distribution.
The focus areas of the programme include strengthening the independence of producers from broadcasters and digital platforms, fostering collaboration among independent producers, broadcasters, digital platforms, and sales agents, supporting works with high creative and artistic value and wide cross-border potential, and encouraging projects with innovation in content and financing linked to distribution strategies. It also emphasizes sustainability and environmental respect, gender balance, inclusion, diversity, and representativeness in the industry.
This initiative supports drama films, animation, and documentaries intended for both linear and non-linear broadcasting platforms, ensuring stronger cooperation among operators from different countries. It aims to increase co-productions, boost audience reach, and foster commercial exploitation in the multi-platform environment. Applicants must demonstrate sustainable production strategies, including through environmental impact reduction and gender and diversity equity.
The total indicative budget for the grants under this call is EUR 22 million. Producers can submit their applications through the EU Funding & Tenders Portal, selecting CREA Lump Sum Grant as the action type. Evaluation of proposals occurs after each deadline, with grant agreements signed months thereafter.
