The call for proposals titled “Support for Hungarian participation in the EUREKA programme” aims to promote international R&D cooperation between businesses, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, through funding provided by the National Research, Development and Innovation Fund.
The focus of this programme is to boost the competitiveness of Hungarian businesses, to enhance Hungarian participation at the international level, to stimulate R&D cooperation between researchers and businesses by supporting innovative near-market projects resulting in the development of a prototype, new product, technology or service, and to promote the domestic utilisation of participation in international R&D projects.
This initiative by the NRDI Fund supports Hungarian partners participating in international EUREKA projects, providing financial backing to eligible applicants such as enterprises, higher education institutions, research organisations, and budgetary entities. The call encourages participation by legal entities with a registered seat in Hungary or the European Economic Area with a branch office in Hungary, who are consortium leaders or partners of EUREKA project proposals approved by the Hungarian EUREKA National Project Coordinator.
Applications must be submitted electronically via the Participant Portal by completing the online form and attaching the signed declaration verifying electronic submission. The total budget allocated for this call is HUF 450 million, with funding available per project ranging from HUF 20 million to HUF 70 million. Projects can have a maximum duration of 36 months and must focus on industrial research and experimental development activities. Activities related to publicity, coordination, marketing, IP protection, travel, or purchase of equipment or intangible assets are not eligible for independent funding.
