With this offer, Vinnova supports the development of long-term research and innovation cooperation in health with partners in the leading countries of the USA, the UK, and Singapore.
The offer is aimed at actors who want to enable deeper international collaboration in health and life science. The focus of this call for proposals is on planning and activities that deepen collaboration and strengthen the possibility of funding long-term research and innovation projects with partners in the US, UK or Singapore.
International collaboration is a prerequisite for them to be able to handle a wide range of societal challenges, including health challenges. It is also a way to achieve the goal of Sweden being one of the world’s leading research and innovation countries and a leading knowledge nation. International collaboration leads to high-quality research and innovation that promotes societal development, welfare, preparedness and the competitiveness of the business sector.
With this offer they want to enable long-term collaborations and strengthen the conditions for future funding.
Funding Information
- In this call for proposals you can apply for from 500,000 to 1,000,000 SEK for project that run for up to 12 months.
Eligible Costs
- In this the call for proposals these types of costs are eligible:
- Personnel costs: Salary costs, including employer contributions and other salary-related costs.
- Equipment, land and buildings: Instruments, equipment and rent for premises other than regular business premises.
- Consulting and licensing costs: Consulting services, knowledge and patents purchased or licensed from a third party. Costs for consulting services from third parties may not exceed 20 percent of a project party’s budget. Other direct costs: For example, materials, supplies and travel necessary to carry out the project.
- Indirect costs (overhead): Costs that are not incurred as a direct result of but can be related to the project, for example regular premises and cleaning. Indirect costs may constitute a maximum of 30 percent of personnel costs. Universities, university colleges and certain research organizations and government agencies have higher maximum limits depending on the type of activities.
What can you apply for?
- The call is aimed at those of you who wish to deepen collaboration with partners in the US, UK and Singapore within health and Life Science. The purpose of the project should be to enable long-term research and innovation collaboration.
Target Audiences
- The offer is aimed at those of you who want to deepen your international collaboration and plan to start a long-term research and innovation project. The project will be carried out together with partners from the USA, UK or Singapore in the field of health and life science. Applicant must have a clear strategy for how to secure longer-term funding.
- Academic actors, research institutes, public sector, civil society or small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Sweden, can apply for this funding. Large companies are welcome to participate as participant but cannot apply for this funding.
- Foreign actors without a registered branch or establishment in Sweden can participate as project partners, but they cannot receive funding from Vinnova.
- The projects will aim to deepen and strengthen international collaborations in health and life science as well as Swedish competitiveness. Funding can be applied for to deepen and broaden international research and innovation collaborations and to prepare for future funding.

- The call for proposals is aimed at academic actors, research institutes, the public sector, civil society or small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), in Sweden.
