Deadline: January 06, 2026
The EU4Health Programme invites proposals to support the organisation of not-for-profit, Union-wide high-level science-policy-society conferences that bring together citizens, patients, practitioners, scientists, and policymakers from local, regional, and Union levels.
The focus includes the following priorities: Cancer, cardiovascular and other non-communicable diseases; Health systems and workforce including in relation to demographic changes; Health promotion and disease prevention, mental health, social media; One health approach; Health security; Pharmaceuticals and medical devices; Biotechnology; Digital transition across health challenges; Global health.
This call aims to mobilise a broad and diverse audience with participation from policymakers at EU, national, regional, and global levels, academia, industry, civil society including patient organisations, and other relevant representatives, reaching at least 500 in-person participants. Proposals should provide a platform to explain and debate EU health initiatives and societal challenges and include a dedicated physical area for DG SANTE to present health priorities. Sustainable outreach activities before, during, and post-event with multiplier effects, including on social media, are expected. The conferences should facilitate high-level policy dialogues attracting health actors from different key sectors and consider innovative approaches in event organisation.
Applicants are encouraged to address as many of these aspects as possible to increase relevance. Public or private non-profit entities with expertise in organising public health events are the targeted applicants. The conferences should have a Union-wide dimension and focus on current cross-cutting Union policy issues without focusing on specific conditions or diseases.
The estimated budget for this call is EUR 600,000, with proposals typically requesting an EU contribution of around EUR 200,000. Grants will be budget-based mixed actual cost grants reimbursing eligible costs at a funding rate of 60%.
