Deadline Date: November 19, 2026
The Italian Agency for Development Cooperation announces a call for proposals through the ADAPT Support Fund to strengthen sustainable private investment in agriculture, sustainable fishing, aquaculture, and the agri-food sectors in Tunisia.
The purpose of this call for proposals is to support private operators who wish to make sustainable investments in the agriculture, sustainable fishing, aquaculture and agri-food sectors. The applicant (project leader) is selected based on an evaluation of their investment project (the action). The grant is awarded as a contribution to equity capital, secured against financing from a Tunisian financial institution (bank or leasing company). The principle of the ADAPT Support Fund is to select actions aimed at the ecological transition. Selected applicants are strengthened in their financial capacity through the contribution that supports their equity investment.
The overall indicative amount made available for this opportunity is EUR 8,000,000.00, with grant requests allowed between the minimum of EUR 1,650.00 and the maximum of EUR 100,000. The contribution functions as an equity enhancement mechanism, enabling stronger financial stability for selected project leaders through joint financing with local banks or leasing firms. The supported initiatives must demonstrate alignment with ecological transition objectives and showcase clear and sustainable impacts within the eligible sectors.
The duration of any supported action cannot extend beyond 31 March 2028. Applicants must comply with regulatory obligations related to their operations, including environmental, health, tax, and social requirements. Applicants must be effectively established in Tunisia and must not be in any of the exclusion cases identified in the PRAG guidelines.
Eligible applicants include natural or legal persons and Professional Agricultural and Agricultural Organizations engaged in the targeted sectors. All applicants must be current with tax and social obligations and must commit to respecting all regulatory requirements relevant to their activities.
