Deadline Date: December 31, 2025
The Technology Innovation Hub on Autonomous Navigation (TiHAN) Foundation at IIT Hyderabad is offering funding proposals from Start-Ups and SSS Entrepreneurs to support translate cutting-edge technologies into practical solutions that can be deployed effectively in real-world scenarios.
The Technology Innovation Hub on Autonomous Navigation (TiHAN) Foundation at IIT Hyderabad is dedicated to advancing research, design, and development of autonomous navigation and data acquisition systems for UAVs, ROVs, and other unmanned vehicles.
The proposals should focus on translational technology research and development while considering commercialization potential. The hub is currently seeking projects with a duration of 12 months. Selected projects will receive funding support of up to ₹25 lakh to accelerate research, development, and deployment.
The thrust areas for project proposals include autonomous and intelligent navigation systems for ground, aerial, and water surface vehicles; applications of autonomous navigation technologies in agriculture, defense, and disaster management; infrastructure monitoring including power lines, pipelines, constructions, and railway tracks; surveillance across maritime, aerial, and terrestrial domains; and environmental monitoring of air, water, and industrial pollutants.
Technological focus areas include AI and machine learning frameworks for autonomous navigation and multi-sensory data aggregation, IoT and CPS architectures for Indian autonomous systems, communications and networking protocols such as DSRC and CV2X, efficient edge computing for multi-sensory information processing, robotics for autonomous systems, design for smart mobility in aerial and terrestrial vehicles, autonomous vehicle swarms and their applications, control, power, and design aspects of UAVs and ROVs, and connected unmanned systems across aerial, terrestrial, underwater, and underground domains.
This funding opportunity aims to foster innovation and entrepreneurship in autonomous technologies, supporting the development of practical, scalable, and commercially viable solutions that address real-world challenges across multiple sectors.
