The National Research, Development and Innovation Fund is seeking proposals to support Hungarian participation in the EUREKA programme, aimed at fostering international R&D cooperation and strengthening the competitiveness of Hungarian businesses.
The focus areas of this call include boosting the competitiveness of Hungarian businesses, enhancing Hungarian participation at the international level, stimulating R&D cooperation between researchers and businesses through innovative near-market projects that result in prototypes, new products, technologies, or services, and promoting the domestic utilisation of participation in international R&D projects.
The total budget available under this call is HUF 450 million, with funding per project ranging from HUF 20 million to HUF 70 million. Projects may have a maximum duration of 36 months. Eligible activities for funding independently include applied (industrial) research and experimental development, while activities such as publicity, coordination, marketing, intellectual property protection, travel, equipment purchase, and intangible asset acquisition are not eligible independently.
Eligible applicants are Hungarian partners participating in EUREKA project proposals or approved projects submitted in English by international consortia and entered into the EUREKA Secretariat database or cluster register, approved by the Hungarian EUREKA National Project Coordinator. Applications must be submitted as a consortium if multiple Hungarian partners participate in the same project. The call is open to legal entities with a registered seat in Hungary or in the European Economic Area with a branch office in Hungary, including businesses and non-profit companies with at least one completed business year and double-entry accounting, state-accredited denominational or private higher education institutions, and budgetary organs and entities qualifying as research and knowledge-dissemination organisations.
