Deadline: December 31, 2025
The Business Location Funding supports companies relocating to Vienna, setting up new headquarters in the city, or developing production operations locally.
The focus is on structural modifications, the purchase of building structures, services such as architectural services, the production sector, production-related services, research, development, and waste management.
The program offers a maximum funding amount of 300,000 to 500,000 euros with a funding rate of 10-20 percent. To qualify, small companies must have a minimum project value of 150,000 euros, while medium-sized companies and large-scale enterprises must plan projects valued at a minimum of 300,000 euros. Both existing small-, medium-, and large-scale enterprises, as well as founders in Vienna, are eligible. Businesses that intend to move to Vienna or to establish headquarters in the city can also apply.
Eligible costs include construction measures, the purchase of building structures, and professional services such as architectural and planning services. Projects can last up to four years, and up to 50 percent of the approved funding amount may be received as an upfront payment.
Applications must be submitted online and require a completed application form, confirmation, a de minimis declaration, the latest annual financial statements and/or income statement, a standard cost statement, and building plans. All proposals are assessed by an independent jury, which evaluates and recommends projects for funding. The funding scheme operates on the basis of European state aid law, namely de minimis rules and GBER Articles 17 and 22.
