Deadline Date: April 22, 2026
The Innovate UK is now accepting grant applications to improve supply chain resilience, boost resource efficiency, and accelerate the commercialisation and scaling of frontier manufacturing technologies.
The competition focuses on improving the resource efficiency or resilience of advanced manufacturing supply chains. Projects should deliver cross-cutting technologies that can be applied across the six frontier industries defined in the Advanced Manufacturing Sector Plan. SMEs with prototypes or Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) at TRL6 or higher are encouraged to apply.
Eligible projects must demonstrate the potential to increase the output quantity or quality of the supply chain per unit of primary resource input. Alternatively, projects may focus on maintaining or increasing output while reducing reliance on resources sourced from outside the UK, thereby strengthening domestic supply chain resilience.
Projects can request grant funding between £50,000 and £100,000, with a duration of three to nine months. All projects must start on the first day of a month after approval by Innovate UK, and no work should begin prior to receiving the Grant Offer Letter. Delays during project setup may affect the official start date.
All project work must be carried out within the UK, and results should be exploited in the UK. Applicants must ensure compliance with these requirements to maximize the impact and benefits of their innovation within the national advanced manufacturing sector.
