The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) invites proposals from qualified companies and consortia for the digitization of its internal processes, specifically licensing, levy collection, and data analysis.
Aims
- This initiative aims to enhance efficiency, transparency, and data-driven decision making within the tourism sector.
Project Scope
- The selected entity will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive digital solution that addresses the following key areas:
- Licensing: Streamlining the application, processing, and issuance of licenses for tourism and hospitality operators
- Levy Collection: Automating the collection and reconciliation of tourism levies from various sources.
- Data Analysis: Establishing robust systems for collecting, analyzing, and reporting on tourism data to inform policy and strategy.
Eligibility Criteria
- Interested companies and consortia must meet the following mandatory eligibility requirements:
- Ghanaian Registration: The lead company must be a Ghanaian registered entity, or in the case of a consortium, a Ghanaian company must hold the majority stake.
- Established Operations: The company must have been in operation for a minimum of two (2) years.
- Sector Experience: Demonstrated experience in providing services within the tourism and hospitality sector is essential.
- Regulatory Compliance: The company must be duly registered under the Public Procurement Act and demonstrate tax compliance.
