The Biotechnology Ignition Grant (BIG) 25th Call for Proposals is now open for innovators and startups across India.
The focus areas include innovations under Healthcare, Lifesciences, Diagnostics, Medical Devices, Vaccines, Drug Development and Delivery Systems, Industrial Biotechnology, Agriculture, Secondary Agriculture, Waste Management, Sanitation, Clean Energy, and related areas.
This initiative provides funding support of up to ₹50 lakhs as a grant-in-aid for a project duration of 18 months. It aims to accelerate the translation of innovative ideas into viable products and technologies by supporting early-stage research and development. Eligible applicants include Indian start-ups or LLPs incorporated on or after 1st November 2020. Through this program, innovators can gain both financial assistance and technical mentorship to strengthen their project proposals and move toward commercialization.
As a BIRAC BIG Partner, IKP Knowledge Park will guide and support applicants throughout the proposal writing and submission process, ensuring that applications align with the program’s objectives and requirements. The deadline to apply for this call is 30th November 2025.
