Deadline Date: April 24, 2026
The ISIF Asia 2026 call for concept notes, supported by the APNIC Foundation through its flagship grants program ISIF Asia, opens an opportunity for organisations across the Asia Pacific to propose innovative, scalable digital solutions that improve Internet access, infrastructure, and socio-economic development outcomes.
The initiative focuses on proof of concept and operational research, IPv6 deployment, project implementation, digital health and essential services with inclusive access, as well as environment, energy efficiency, climate impacts, and disaster risk mitigation. It also prioritises applied innovation and emerging technologies, practical implementation of demonstrable solutions, strengthening Internet infrastructure and resilience, expanding connectivity and technical capability, research with operational relevance, and the development of open and interoperable systems.
This grants program is designed to support organisations that are working to solve real-world connectivity and digital inclusion challenges through technology-driven approaches. It encourages the development of working systems, pilot projects, and scalable prototypes that can be adapted across diverse communities in the region. By prioritising measurable outcomes, it aims to ensure that supported initiatives contribute directly to improving Internet reliability, access, and usability.
Funding under ISIF Asia 2026 is provided in three grant categories of USD 20,000, USD 50,000, and USD 75,000, enabling organisations at different stages of innovation and implementation to participate and scale their solutions based on project scope and impact potential.
The program also places strong emphasis on strengthening digital ecosystems by encouraging open-source solutions and interoperable infrastructure that can be widely adopted. It supports efforts that build technical skills, enhance community capacity, and create pathways for long-term digital participation and employment opportunities, especially in underserved regions.
Through competitive funding opportunities, ISIF Asia enables collaboration across technical bodies, academic institutions, government agencies, and grassroots organisations, fostering innovation that is grounded in local context while contributing to regional digital transformation.
