The Women on Wings invites grant applications from 6–8 purpose-driven Indian enterprises with strong potential for social impact and sustainable value creation to participate in a three-year, tailor-made pro bono support program.
The focus areas of this opportunity are to identify 6–8 purpose-driven Indian enterprises demonstrating strong potential for social impact and sustainable value creation, unleash the full potential of women in rural India by co-creating one million jobs, provide organizations with the business acumen to scale operations, access markets and optimize value chains, provide customized, one-on-one mentoring and consulting support designed to accelerate both business growth and social impact, defining strategies to maximize business growth and deepen social impact, strengthening financial management and understanding profitability, refining brand positioning and market approach, professionalizing sales processes, optimizing supply chain system, building organizational culture and leadership capabilities, enhancing investment readiness, growth-stage, for-profit enterprise legally registered in India, in food and agriculture; allied sectors like dairy, aquaculture, poultry, sericulture, forestry; clean agri-tech, operating for a minimum of 3 years, on target to become profitable and increase turnover in the next two years, and currently creating sustainable jobs for a minimum of 250 women in rural India with an ambition to double this number in the next three years.
Women on Wings aims to partner with enterprises and government institutions that create sustainable livelihood opportunities for women in rural India. Through this partnership approach, the organization enables enterprises to scale their operations by equipping them with critical business skills and market access support. The long-term vision is to co-create one million jobs for rural women, contributing significantly to economic empowerment and social progress.
Selected enterprises will benefit from a structured three-year engagement designed to accelerate growth. In the first year, the focus will be on developing strategies that enhance business expansion and deepen social impact, supported by strengthened financial management and a clearer understanding of profitability. Enterprises will also refine their brand positioning and approach to market engagement.
In the second and third years, the program will help participants professionalize sales processes and optimize supply chain systems to drive efficiency. The support will also extend to building robust organizational culture and leadership capabilities, enabling enterprises to sustain growth. Additionally, the program will enhance investment readiness, preparing organizations to pursue funding opportunities that align with their growth plans.
Eligible applicants must be growth-stage, for-profit enterprises legally registered in India and operating in sectors such as food and agriculture, dairy, aquaculture, poultry, sericulture, forestry, or clean agri-tech. They should have been operating for at least three years and be on track to achieve profitability and increased turnover within the next two years. Enterprises must also be creating sustainable jobs for at least 250 rural women, either directly or through partners, and aim to double this number over the next three years.
