Deadline: September 19, 2025
The Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board, in collaboration with the Rani Group, announces the inaugural MSME Equipment Support Grant to enhance Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises across Namibia.
The focus of the program is to increase the operational capacity and foster sustainable growth of MSMEs across all 14 regions of Namibia. The grant specifically aims to facilitate the acquisition of essential equipment valued at N$10,000 per MSME, enhancing productivity, streamlining operations, and driving long-term viability and expansion within the Namibian economic landscape.
This annual initiative, sponsored by the Rani Group, will support about five MSMEs per region, investing a total of N$700,000 annually. Recognizing the critical role of appropriate equipment for business efficiency and competitiveness, the program provides targeted financial assistance to Namibian MSMEs.
Applicants must be Namibian-registered businesses with at least 51% Namibian ownership and control, registered on the NIPDB MSME database, possess a bank account, and have at least one year of operational history. Previous recipients of government grants from MIME, MIT, or Local Authorities are not eligible. Businesses need to submit a brief profile and three supplier quotations for equipment not exceeding N$10,000, with suppliers located within or near the applicant’s town.
Formal businesses must be compliant with relevant statutory and sectoral requirements, such as registration with BIPA, NamRA, SSC Good Standing, and MSME certification. Informal businesses lacking full registration may also be considered if they demonstrate active operation through verifiable evidence and show commitment to future formalization.
Successful applicants will receive a grant dedicated to procuring essential equipment to address operational deficiencies and bolster competitiveness. Applications are open for three weeks, closing on 19 September 2025. The evaluation process may take up to six weeks, and only successful candidates will be contacted.
