The Global Innovators Programme by Expo City Dubai Foundation continues the legacy of Expo 2020 Dubai by supporting innovations that drive positive social, economic, and environmental change worldwide.
Focus Areas: The programme focuses on supporting innovators through a combination of grants, innovation challenges, and knowledge-sharing. It invites innovative solutions to pressing challenges that help improve people’s lives or preserve the planet. The Foundation’s mission is to bridge the gap between people, ideas, and resources in pursuit of a sustainable and inspiring future.
Rooted in the belief that impact entrepreneurship is a valuable investment and a powerful instrument for change, the Global Innovators Programme serves as a global platform for advancing socially driven innovation. It welcomes applications from social enterprises and startups that are actively addressing social, environmental, or humanitarian issues. Eligible applicants must be registered legal entities at the prototype stage or beyond, operating in or targeting the Global South.
Over the years, the initiative has attracted over 13,000 applications from 186 countries and has built a strong network of 191 Global Innovators across 92 nations. These innovators have collectively created a positive impact for more than 5.8 million people worldwide. Through its support structure, the programme provides not just financial assistance but also exposure, learning opportunities, and access to a network of changemakers working to create a sustainable and equitable future.
