Deadline Date: May 14, 2026
The Foundation Assisting Canadian Talent On Recordings is now accepting grant applications to support music industry projects, events, and productions that create shared opportunities and long-term benefits for Canada’s music community
The program’s focus areas include financing events and initiatives that are collective in nature, creating new market development results for Canadian artists and music entrepreneurs, supporting showcases for artists from official language minority communities, and assisting export-ready artists in reaching new audiences.
All projects funded under this program must benefit the Canadian music industry as a whole and cannot predominantly favor any one artist or enterprise. New applicants are required to submit a Letter of Intent at least six months prior to the project start date and obtain approval from FACTOR before submitting a full application.
Funding is provided as a percentage of the total eligible project budget, up to specified annual or project maximums. Industry events may receive up to 50% of the total eligible budget, with a maximum of $200,000 per fiscal year. Showcases for artists from official language minority communities may receive up to 75% of the total eligible budget, up to $100,000. Export-ready artist showcases are funded at 50% of the total eligible budget. Generally, 50% of the approved offer is paid upon acceptance, with the remainder provided upon project completion.
Eligible applicants include Canadian corporations, associations, and non-profit organizations that hold an approved applicant profile. Approval of a Letter of Intent is required for new applicants to determine eligibility before submitting a full application.
