Deadline: December 31, 2025
The Vienna Quality of Life Funding supports small- and medium-sized enterprises, founders, and organisations in Vienna with innovative development proposals that address pressing environmental and social changes.
The funding places a special emphasis on health, education, employment, climate action, environment, diversity, social cooperation, and integration.
This program provides financial assistance to projects that contribute to social innovation, new products, and business models designed to inspire positive social change and promote sustainable development in line with the Sustainable Development Goals. Funding covers payroll costs for employees, contractors, and SME partners or owners, consultation services for effective project implementation, as well as investment costs for machines, devices, licenses, intellectual property rights, and structural modifications required for sustainability.
The maximum funding amount per project is 150,000 euros with a funding rate of up to 50 percent. Eligible projects must have a minimum value of 20,000 euros. Additional bonuses are available, including a women’s bonus of 5,000 euros for development proposals managed by qualified women and a startup bonus of 5,000 euros if a new company is founded through the project.
Applications are open to SMEs, founders, and Vienna-based associations and organisations in the social, research, and educational sectors. Projects from all business sectors are eligible. Up to 50 percent of the approved amount can be paid upfront, and the maximum project duration is two years. Applications are assessed by an independent jury, with funding decisions typically communicated within three months.
Applicants are required to submit a completed online funding application, an application confirmation, a de minimis declaration, and their latest financial statements or income statement. Partnership applications between companies or organisations are also possible, with the lead applicant responsible for managing and distributing the awarded funds.
