Deadline: October 17, 2025
The Toast Changemakers Program is a grant initiative aimed at supporting restaurants, cafes, and food service businesses that actively address food insecurity in their communities.
The program focuses on businesses that have an existing and active effort addressing food insecurity in their community. Key objectives include demonstrating a track record of addressing local food insecurity, presenting a clear, feasible, and impactful plan for proposed use of funds, showcasing creative or unique approaches to addressing food insecurity, and highlighting thoughtful ways of giving back that address specific community needs and demonstrate measurable impact.
The Toast Changemakers Program is sponsored and administered by Circular Board, Inc. dba Hello Alice and the Global Entrepreneurship Network, Inc. (GEN). This program is open to entrepreneurs who are leading executives of eligible for-profit food service businesses located in the United States, the District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico. Eligible businesses must have no more than 15 locations, employ fewer than 50 people per location, have been in operation for at least six months, and generate revenues of $3 million or less per location in 2024.
To participate, applicants must complete an online application during the program period from September 22, 2025, to October 17, 2025, at 6PM ET. Each business and officer can submit only one entry. Entries are reviewed by a panel consisting of representatives from Toast, GEN, and Hello Alice, using criteria that emphasize community impact, feasibility, creativity, and measurable results.
The program will select 15 grant recipients who will each receive a $10,000 unrestricted grant to support their hunger relief initiatives. Selected recipients may also receive recognition on Hello Alice, GEN, and Toast platforms. Grant recipients must comply with eligibility verification, potential interviews, and the execution of required release forms within specified timelines.
The grants are awarded “as is,” with no warranty or guarantee, and recipients are responsible for applicable taxes and other associated costs. Sponsors reserve the right to substitute the grant with property of equal or greater value if necessary. The odds of receiving a grant depend on the number of eligible entries received during the program period.
