Deadline Date: June 3, 2026
The Innovate UK is inviting applications to support industrial research, advance technology, and prepare high-growth UK businesses for scale-up and commercial deployment.
This competition focuses on industrial research projects in the following priority areas: advanced turbine technology including offshore wind turbine blades and towers, industrialised foundations and substructures with deepwater solutions, and future electrical systems and cables aimed at reducing cable failure rates.
Projects should aim to improve manufacturing quality, consistency, and output of blades and towers to increase production rates, enhance quality, or reduce whole-life costs, and develop products or services that cost-effectively improve blade energy yield, reliability, or durability in operation. The total eligible costs for projects must be between £150,000 and £1.5 million.
Eligible applicants must carry out their project work in the UK and intend to exploit the project results within the UK. Projects must always start on the first day of the month following grant approval, and work cannot begin until the Grant Offer Letter has been officially approved by Innovate UK. Delays during project setup may affect the official start date.
