Deadline Date: April 28, 2026
The Farming Equipment and Technology Fund 2026 offers financial support to eligible agricultural businesses in England to invest in equipment and technology that enhance farm operations.
The fund focuses on improving productivity, managing slurry, and improving animal health and welfare. The Farming Equipment and Technology Fund 2026 provides three types of grants designed to support specific areas of farm development, and applicants are allowed to submit one application per theme. Each application must request funding between £1,000 and £25,000, ensuring that investments remain within the defined financial range. The scheme is open to businesses that are based and registered in England, including farmers, horticulturalists, forestry owners, and contractors who provide services to these sectors. Applicants who have previously received funding through earlier rounds of the Farming Equipment and Technology Fund or the Countryside Productivity Small Grants Scheme are still eligible to apply.
The Animal Health and Welfare grant is limited to specific livestock sectors, including those involved in beef cattle, dairy cattle, sheep, pigs, and poultry such as laying and broiler chickens, including rearing and breeding farms. However, other livestock and poultry types such as goats, ducks, turkeys, geese, and gamebirds are not eligible under this category. Government departments, executive agencies, and non-departmental public bodies are excluded from applying for this funding opportunity.
Applicants can only apply for items listed under the Productivity, Slurry, and Animal Health and Welfare categories, and all equipment must meet the minimum specifications outlined in the respective lists. The fund supports the purchase of new or ex-display items, provided that ex-display items have only been used for showroom display, have not been moved from the supplier’s premises, and have not been used for any other purpose. Compliance with the specified standards is mandatory for all funded items.
