Deadline Date: June 16, 2026
The European Commission is inviting applications to support European research communities in adopting FAIR data and open science practices through the EOSC Federation.
The program focuses on accelerating FAIR adoption and the use of EOSC resources by multiple research communities, supporting open science projects through cascading grants, coordinating and networking thematic research and research infrastructure communities, developing training programs on FAIR and open science practices, fostering interoperability and integration of data and services, and ensuring long-term sustainable provision of outcomes within the EOSC Federation.
This initiative aims to increase the adoption of open science and research data management practices in line with FAIR principles, boost uptake of the EOSC Federation by researchers through sustainable provision of scientific services and FAIR data integrated into scientific workflows, and enhance alignment of research communities, ESFRI, and other European research infrastructures with EOSC standards and policies.
The second activity focuses on supporting thematic research and RI communities’ integration into the EOSC Federation by coordinating existing competence centres, developing tailored training programs, fostering interoperability of services and data repositories, establishing mechanisms for long-term sustainable integration of results, and engaging underrepresented communities.
The total funding for this topic is approximately €40,000,000, and participation is open to any legal entity, regardless of its place of establishment, including entities from non-associated third countries or international organizations, provided they meet the conditions of the Horizon Europe Regulation.
