The Space Tech Fund is a flagship initiative to fuel early-stage startups building transformative solutions in space technology and its allied applications.
Focus Areas
- Satellite systems (design, miniaturisation, components)
- Launch vehicle technologies
- Ground station automation
- Space-based data analytics (GIS, meteorology, agriculture, defence)
- Space robotics, autonomy, or artificial intelligence
- On-orbit refuelling, servicing, or manufacturing
- Debris mitigation systems and orbital logistics
Funding Information
- Eligible startups can receive up to ₹50 lakh in funding—either as a grant or equity—based on Expert Committee evaluation.
- To qualify, startups must bring in confirmed third-party funding (from incubators, investors, CSR arms, etc.), which will be matched equally (1:1) by StartupTN.
- Funding will be released in tranches, linked to clearly defined milestones.
Eligibility Criteria
- DPIIT-recognised startups
- Registered in Tamil Nadu
- Working on validated PoCs in space-tech or related domains
- Must submit a letter of support from an incubator/funding partner
- Must have confirmed third-party funding (incubators, investors, CSR arms, etc.)
