Deadline Date: February 28, 2026
Are you looking to make your business premises in Vienna more attractive and to create new offers for the people in your neighbourhood? The Vienna Business Agency provide Street-Level Business Revitalisation Funding to small- and medium-sized enterprises and associations that invest in vacant, street-level shops that face the street.
The focus areas and priorities of the program include revitalizing ground-floor business premises, supporting investments such as construction measures and acquisition of technical equipment and machinery, providing financial assistance to businesses that serve daily customer needs, offering a start-up bonus for newly established companies, and enabling prepayment of up to 50% of the funding amount to facilitate project implementation. The program provides grants of up to 35,000 euros per project, covering 50 percent of eligible costs with a minimum project size of 5,000 euros. A start-up bonus of 5,000 euros is available for new companies established as part of the project. Eligible costs include construction measures such as installation of doors, windows, floors, sanitary and electrical installations, heating and ventilation systems, and the purchase of necessary technical equipment. Projects must have a minimum vacancy period of six months, and the maximum project duration is two years.
Eligible applicants include small and medium-sized enterprises, associations, and companies in the process of being founded. The funding is targeted at businesses that provide goods and services for daily customer needs. Project submissions are evaluated by an independent jury, and applicants must submit a completed online application, de minimis declaration, financial statements, lease or purchase agreements, confirmation of vacancy, and current photos of the business premises.
The Vienna Business Revitalization Program aims to stimulate economic activity, enhance local business landscapes, and support SMEs and start-ups in establishing sustainable operations while improving the appeal and functionality of ground-floor commercial spaces.
