Deadline Date: December 31, 2025
The Kenya Jobs and Economic Transformation Project is designed to create sustainable jobs and drive economic transformation through strategic support for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises across Kenya.
The Kenya Jobs and Economic Transformation (KJET) project is a five-year initiative led by the Government of Kenya and funded by the World Bank, running from 2024 to 2029. The project aims to boost private sector investments, improve access to markets, and expand sustainable financing to create and enhance job opportunities across the country. By focusing on priority value chains under the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda, KJET seeks to support the growth and productivity of select MSME clusters.
The initiative is expected to benefit at least 45,000 Kenyans, including a minimum of 6,800 women, by generating new jobs and improving existing employment opportunities. The project targets enterprises that are actively engaged in value addition and have products already available in the market.
Eligible participants include registered cooperatives, associations, or cluster-based entities that have been in operation for over two years. This opportunity offers selected organizations a chance to access support for scaling operations, improving productivity, and expanding market reach, ultimately contributing to Kenya’s broader economic transformation and job creation goals.
