The Provision of Jobs and Socio-Economic Inclusion to Support Transition to Formal Employment in Türkiye project is designed to empower Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) by strengthening their capacity and creating sustainable formal jobs.
The focus of the project is on empowering Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) by strengthening their capacity, and creating sustainable formal jobs. Through this project, IOM provides targeted financial grants to drive economic growth, promote formal employment, and improve livelihoods, ultimately contributing to local economic development and community resilience. A cornerstone of the project’s mission is its commitment to sustainability and inclusivity. It prioritizes initiatives that engage marginalized groups—such as refugees, women, and youth—while advancing environmental sustainability. By fostering equitable economic opportunities and encouraging sustainable business practices, the project helps build resilient communities and supports long-term economic development. Grants provided through the project will support businesses in enhancing their operations, creating sustainable formal jobs, and offering workers greater security and stability. By promoting formal employment, the project ensures compliance with national regulations while delivering key benefits such as access to social security, stronger labor protections, and greater financial resilience. Additionally, the Provision of Jobs and Socio-Economic Inclusion to Support Transition to Formal Employment in Türkiye project highlights the importance of environmentally sustainable practices and inclusive business models.
This initiative plays a pivotal role in ensuring that SMEs are better equipped to strengthen their operations while contributing to employment generation. It emphasizes not just economic growth, but also inclusivity by providing opportunities to marginalized groups such as refugees, women, and youth. In addition, businesses are encouraged to adopt environmentally friendly practices, thereby fostering sustainable growth.
By supporting SMEs with targeted grants, the project ensures companies can create jobs that are stable and officially registered, providing employees with both social security protections and financial resilience. This in turn supports compliance with national regulations and strengthens the socio-economic integration of vulnerable communities into the workforce.
The funding process is designed to be transparent and rigorous, requiring all applicants to complete detailed documentation and meet strict eligibility standards. Verification processes, including calls and site visits, ensure that enterprises are aligned with the project’s objectives while receiving tailored support. SMEs meeting the criteria—particularly those prioritizing inclusivity, sustainability, and social impact—will be given preference to maximize impact and long-term growth.
With grants up to $10,000, disbursed according to agreed-upon milestones, SMEs are not only able to expand their capacity but also contribute to building a stronger, more resilient economy in Türkiye. Enterprises are reminded that applications must be completed and submitted online by 31 August 2025, ensuring full compliance with requirements.
The Provision of Jobs and Socio-Economic Inclusion project is a key opportunity for enterprises looking to grow responsibly, generate socio-economic impact, and enhance stability for both their workforce and their communities.
