The Fatherhood Fund focuses on providing financial support, offering entrepreneurship training, celebrating fatherhood, promoting family-inclusive empowerment, and hosting an appreciation event.
The Fatherhood Fund provides grant-style financing and training to fathers with business ideas, aiming to turn their visions into reality while promoting family-inclusive economic empowerment. Created by Heavenly Mum Care Packages (HMCP), a women-led healthcare company, the fund recognizes that fathers are often overlooked in conversations around caregiving and economic development, and it seeks to celebrate their contributions while unlocking entrepreneurial potential.
Participating fathers are offered comprehensive entrepreneurship training prior to pitching their business ideas at the “Appreciating Fathers Who Build Legacies” event, a community-centered celebration that acknowledges fatherhood and legacy-building. Selected applicants have the opportunity to receive funding to support their business ventures, fostering both personal and community-level impact.
The program is open to fathers residing in Botswana, aged 20 years and above, with viable business ideas or early-stage businesses.
