Deadline Date: January 11, 2026
The Convergence Asia Climate Solutions (ACS) program is offering catalytic grants to support the development of innovative blended finance vehicles that address climate mitigation and adaptation in the Asia-Pacific region.
These grants are designed to help organizations explore, design, and launch financial instruments capable of mobilizing private investment at scale for impactful climate solutions. Applicants can seek funding at different stages of development, depending on the maturity of their proposed solution.
Feasibility Study grants are intended for early-stage exploration to validate the potential of a new solution. Funding can be used for activities such as refining the design and structure of a blended finance vehicle, conducting market scoping, engaging with stakeholders, and drafting impact assessments and governance frameworks. At this stage, applicants can receive up to $200,000 in non-repayable grants to support initial design, early stakeholder engagement, and the development of an investment and impact thesis.
Proof-of-Concept grants are available for projects that have moved beyond feasibility and require support for design and structuring activities to prepare for a potential launch. This includes advancing fundraising, refining legal and governance structures, developing the investment pipeline, and enhancing impact analysis. At this stage, grants of up to $300,000 are available and may be non-repayable or conditionally repayable, depending on the project and funding agreement.
Eligible applicants must clearly demonstrate the need for grant support for the design or launch of an innovative blended finance vehicle targeting climate solutions. Proposed instruments can take many forms, including funds, project finance vehicles, private companies, bonds, results-based financing mechanisms, or other financial instruments. Successful proposals should demonstrate strong potential to mobilize private investment at scale, ensuring significant development impact in the Asia-Pacific region.
This grant opportunity provides a pathway for organizations to transform innovative climate finance ideas into actionable solutions, leveraging blended finance structures to address pressing environmental challenges while attracting private sector investment.
