The Fembol Group has announced the opening of applications for the 2025 Student Innovation Grant (SIG), a funding initiative designed to support young Nigerians with bold, impactful, and sustainable business ideas.
Focus Areas: The program focuses on empowering innovative young people who have impactful and sustainable ideas and are willing to build, offering equity-free funding, mentorship, and visibility opportunities.
The 2025 Fembol Student Innovation Grant seeks to identify and support young innovators across Nigeria who are developing profit-driven, nonprofit, or hybrid business solutions. The initiative provides up to NGN 3 million in grant funding to help participants grow their ventures and create meaningful impact. Selected applicants will also participate in a fully-funded three-day Innovation Bootcamp in Lagos, Nigeria, from December 4 to 6, culminating in a demo and pitch day on December 6.
During the bootcamp, participants will engage with industry experts, refine their ideas, and gain critical entrepreneurial skills. Additionally, the program offers six weeks of one-on-one mentorship with top business leaders to guide participants through their business growth journey. Beyond funding and mentorship, participants will benefit from enhanced brand visibility through the Fembol Group and its partners, helping them attract broader recognition and opportunities.
Eligibility for the Fembol Student Innovation Grant is open to Nigerian students aged between 16 and 28 years who are currently enrolled in undergraduate or master’s programs at any Nigerian tertiary institution. Applicants are encouraged to apply as a team of two to four members, although individual applications are also accepted.
