Deadline: September 18, 2025
The Alzheimer’s Society Accelerator Programme provides investment and business support for transformative dementia innovations, helping them to develop and reach people affected by dementia faster.
The focus of the programme includes creating a product or service that makes an everyday task easier for a person living with dementia, using novel technologies to unblock challenges in the dementia pathway, and giving an existing product a new purpose in the dementia space.
Through this programme, successful applicants can access up to £100,000 of funding alongside a 12-month partnership that provides expert innovation and dementia support, peer-to-peer learning with the Innovation Collective, opportunities to learn from people living with dementia through co-creation, and support during the application process. The Alzheimer’s Society seeks a return on investment, which could take the form of a percentage return on product revenue, equity investment, or another mechanism negotiated with successful participants.
The programme is open to early stage businesses solving problems in the dementia space that can demonstrate proof of concept and early product traction. Both digital and physical solutions are welcomed, covering the entire dementia pathway from early diagnosis to end-of-life care.
Eligibility requires applicants to be 18 years or older, have a registered business in the UK, be developing or deploying their innovation in the UK, present a detailed business plan, and have a prototype at TRL 6/7. Applicants should also be aware that Alzheimer’s Society will seek a return on the investment provided.
Previous partners of the programme have already brought impactful innovations to market, improving the lives of people living with dementia today.
