The Vinnova is inviting grant applications for its Traffic-Safe Automation to support safer, more sustainable transportation through connected, automated, and shared-use vehicles.
The focus areas include research and development in safe automated vehicles, road user safety, integration of vehicles and infrastructure for safe transportation solutions, and enabling methods and technologies with applications for safe automation.
Eligible projects can receive Vinnova funding covering up to 50 percent of costs under the FFI Trafiksäker Automation sub-programme, with a requirement that at least 25 percent of project funding comes from business contributions. Preliminary studies and smaller projects can apply for funding up to SEK 500,000, and the total budget for the sub-program is approximately SEK 60 million.
Applications are open to research organizations, companies, and public or non-profit organizations, with all projects required to involve at least two collaborating parties.
