The Advance Queensland Innovation Events Fund provides financial support to Queensland‑led events that strengthen collaboration, capability, and connections within the state’s innovation ecosystem.
The fund focuses on innovation and directly engaging with businesses developing innovative products, processes, or services, building innovation capability and delivering outcomes such as collaboration, commercialisation, or knowledge exchange, and aligns with new or emerging innovation opportunities, new‑to‑world innovation, innovation diffusion, and innovation delivering benefits for Indigenous communities.
The Advance Queensland Innovation Events Fund is an opportunity for Queensland businesses and organizations to showcase innovation, foster collaboration, and generate measurable outcomes for the state’s innovation landscape.
The funding available ranges from $10,000 to $25,000 (excluding GST) and can cover up to 50% of total eligible event costs. Eligible expenses include guest speaker fees and economy-class travel, venue hire and event logistics, marketing and promotion, equipment hire and technical services, and event content development that aligns with the fund’s objectives.
Applicants must be incorporated legal entities headquartered in Queensland, hold an active ABN and GST registration, maintain or be able to obtain $20 million public liability insurance, and have met all previous Queensland Government reporting and acquittal obligations. Individuals, unincorporated groups, government agencies, and political parties are not eligible to apply.
Funding will not cover networking-only or social events, online-only or virtual events, trade missions or famil programs, business-as-usual activities, alcohol, merchandise, self-promotion, costs incurred before funding approval, or events already funded by another Queensland Government program in the same financial year.
