Deadline: 25-February-2026
The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs is offering funding to support farmers, growers, and foresters in England to develop high-quality applications for on-farm trials and farm experiment projects under the ADOPT Grant programme.
The focus areas include improving the quality of Full ADOPT Grant applications, making ADOPT funding accessible to a wider range of applicants, enhancing the skills and expertise of the farming ecosystem to engage with innovation funding, addressing major on-farm or immediate post-farmgate challenges or opportunities, and improving productivity, resilience, and sustainability with progression towards net zero farming.
This competition is designed for farmers, growers, and foresters in England who wish to test new ideas or solutions on their farms and need support to develop a Full ADOPT Grant application. Successful participants will work with an external Project Facilitator registered in the Innovate UK Business Connect database to prepare and submit an eligible application, and a grant of £2,500 will be awarded per participant once evidence is provided within six months that the Full ADOPT Grant application has been submitted for assessment.
Applicants must ensure compliance with green box subsidy rules under the WTO Agreement on Agriculture, ensuring minimal to no distortion of trade while engaging with this funding opportunity.
