Deadline Date: January 20, 2026
The Mid and East Antrim Borough Council is requesting applications for its Revamp and Refresh Grant Programme to support Town Centre businesses in Ballymena, Carrickfergus, and Larne by providing small grants for internal improvements, fixtures, and branding to help them grow and thrive.
The scheme focuses on providing financial assistance for internal improvements, fixtures, and branding for currently trading Town Centre businesses, ensuring businesses that have received support under other Council programmes remain eligible, and awarding grants on a first-come, first-served basis to applications that meet a minimum scoring threshold of 60%.
Grants can cover up to 80% of the cost of eligible items or works, with a maximum of £1,000 per business and a minimum of £200. Any expenditure incurred prior to the issue of a Letter of Offer will not be eligible for grant assistance.
Eligible applicants include businesses currently trading in the hospitality, retail, hair and beauty, health and fitness sectors, charitable organisations, and independent professional services such as finance, estate agents, solicitors, and opticians. Funding cannot be used for electronic equipment such as mobile phones, iPads, TVs, monitors, items or works that have already started prior to the Letter of Offer, or for business running costs including staff costs, rent, rates, electricity, insurance, or stock.
