The Halcyon House LAC Climate Fellowship is a unique acceleration opportunity designed for founders across Latin America and the Caribbean who are developing climate adaptation and resilience solutions.
Solutions addressing climate adaptation and resilience, including but not limited to renewable and resilient energy systems and storage; adaptive infrastructure and green building technologies; climate intelligence and early-warning systems; climate-smart agriculture and food systems; WaterTech (water security, resilient water systems, and more); blue economy and coastal resilience; and more.
The Fellowship is open to all entrepreneurs regardless of background or experience, though teams with at least one woman Founder or Co-Founder are especially encouraged to apply. Each participating venture will receive US $10,000 in Amazon Web Services credits and a US $6,000 equity-free stipend. Additional support includes expert workshops focused on product-market fit, capital strategy and leadership, access to professional advisors, networking opportunities with investors and climate-sector stakeholders, and membership in Halcyon’s global community of over 600 founders.
The programme seeks for-profit startups that are based in or serving the Latin America & Caribbean region and have a working minimum viable product with evidence of early commercial validation such as pilot tests, letters of intent, or revenue. The applicant must be the CEO or primary decision-maker, must be fluent in English (as the programme is delivered in English), must be at least 21 years old at the programme start, must commit to full participation in both virtual and in-person components, and the venture must align with one or more of the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
