Supply and Installation of Clean Cooking Solutions for Households, Public and Private Institutions in Tanzania

The Rural Energy Agency is requesting applications from qualified suppliers to Supply and install Clean Cooking Solutions to Households, Public and Private Institutions through on-call basis.

Objective

  • The main objective is to promote, stimulate, facilitate and improve access to modern and clean energy for cooking Households, Public and Private Institutions in Rural and Peri- Urban Main Land Tanzania.

Types of Clean Cooking 

  • Through this call for proposal the Agency invites applications from qualified Suppliers that meet the specified criteria to submit proposals detailing the types of clean cooking solutions they plan to supply. The proposal should also outline the actual costs and distribution expenses for providing these services in Public and Private Institutions in rural areas of Mainland Tanzania. The types of clean cooking solutions to be supplied include:
    • Lot 5: LPG Starter Packs (6kg Size)
    • Lot 6: LPG Starter Packs (15kg Size with Double plate stoves)
    • Lot 8: Complete Supply and Installation of Institutional Biogas systems and Commissioning (System sizes of 360m3, 260m3, 195m3, 130m3, 100m3, 65m3
    • Lot 9: Complete supply and installation of institutional LPG system and commissioning (Tanks of 0.5T, 1T, 1.5T, 2T and 2.5T)
    • Lot 11: Supply of Coal Briquettes
    • Lot 12: Supply of Briquette Making Machines (Biomass and Coal)
    • Lot 13: Complete supply and installation of institutional ICS system and commissioning (300L, 200L, 100L and 50L)

Application Requirements

  • The supplier must demonstrate and submit the following documents:
    • Valid relevant business license
    • Certificate of Incorporation/Registration
    • Taxpayer Registration (TIN, VAT)
    • Valid Relevant Tax Clearance Certificate
    • ICS Test Certification
    • Warranty Statement starting the warranty period and the warranty Obligations). Favorable Warranty obligation shall be an added advantage
    • Completeness and properly signed Proposals Company Profile showing compliance to technical specifications and standards provided, General experience in doing business (Average Turnover of TZS 10Million for three years), Specific experience in performing contracts of similar complexity (Three Similar Contracts with at least TZS 5Million Minimum Contract Amount each).
