Deadline: September 15, 2025
The Waterloo Region Small Business Centre is launching its Early Sparks program, a 5-week initiative designed to help aspiring entrepreneurs transform their business ideas into actionable plans.
The program focuses on guiding participants through business idea generation, market research and validation, value proposition and branding, networking, and next steps for launching a business. Key outcomes include refining business ideas, developing a roadmap for execution, gaining access to resources, building confidence, and establishing new business relationships.
The Early Sparks program is open to individuals aged 18 or older who are residents of Waterloo Region and have an unregistered business idea. Applicants must commit to attending weekly sessions and dedicating at least 8 hours per week to developing their business concept. The program runs in four cohorts throughout 2025, with the next session starting in July.
Participants will receive free workspace for three months, meeting room access, one-on-one business advising, and networking opportunities. Weekly sessions will be held at 2 King Street W. in Kitchener, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.
