Deadline: November 06, 2025
Alma Ascent is inviting early-stage immigrant-led startups from around the world to compete for $100,000 in funding by pitching their ideas live in Palo Alto on November 20, 2025, as part of their initiative to support innovation driven by immigration.
Early-stage startups that have raised less than $2 million in total funding are eligible to apply, and teams from anywhere in the world are welcome, provided they can be present in the Bay Area for the final pitch. At least one founder of the startup must be an immigrant, meaning born outside the U.S.
The competition offers substantial prizes with $60,000 awarded to the first-place winner and $40,000 to the second-place winner, providing both recognition and critical early-stage funding.
Alma Ascent emphasizes that immigration drives innovation and is backing this belief not just through immigration legal services, but also by providing real capital to help founders succeed. The final pitch event will take place at Alma HQ, giving participants the chance to present their startups in a professional and supportive environment.
